Nadar Sundara Visalakshi Vidhyasala (NSVV) Group of Schools.

Pattiveeranpatti is a flourishing agricultural centre, with vigorous trading of coffee, spices, vegetables and horticultural produces.

Nadar Sundara Visalakshi Vidhyasala (NSVV) Group of Schools was founded in its sylvan surroundings by the Hindu Nadar’s Uravinmurai Paripalana Sangam of Pattiveeranpatti in the year 1910, on the impetus given by the late Sri. W.P.A.P.Punnaivana Nadar B.A., the first graduate of this locality .Two years later a separate girls’ school was started leaving the first one entirely as a boys’ school and both the schools functioned separately up to 1949 under one and the same management .The first Manager and Correspondent of the Schools was Sri.W.P.A.Ratnaswamy Nadar, who piloted them chivalrously between the years 1910 and 1934.

In 1937, when Sri W.P.A. Soundarapandian (he was the undisputed leader of Nadar Mahajana Sangam for 2 decades) was the Manager and Correspondent, both the schools celebrated their Silver Jubilee Celebration. In his regime the original name of the schools. ‘The Nadars’ Saraswathi Vilasa Vidyasala’ was changed into the present immortal name as ‘The Nadars’ SUNDARA VISALAKSHI VIDYSALA’ as the management received a munificent gift from his Uncle, Sri.W.P.S.SundaraNadar and his benevolent partner in life, Srimathy S.Visalakshi Ammal , who bequeathed all their earthly possession worth about 40,000 Rupees in the year 1935 as settlement to the HNUP Sangam.Sri .W.P.A.R.Chandrasekaran the president of the Hindu Nadar Uravinmurai Paripalana Sangam of Pattiveeranpatti in 1947, shouldered the onerous responsibility of raising the institution to a High School with the co-operation of the Managing Committee of the Schools in this mighty effort. The Golden Jubilee of the Elementary School and the High School was celebrated on the 10th , 11th and 12th June 1960 when Dr.M.A.Muthaiah Chettiar, Raja of Chettinad presided, and Sri K.Kamaraj, the then Chief Minister opened the Jubilee functions and the Girls’ High School under the same Management .

After a long and illustrious period (21 years) of Managership and Correspondentship , Thiru.W.P.A.R.Chandrasekaran laid down his office on young but iron shoulders of Thiru.W.P.A.S.Bhaskaran B.A., on 14-10-1968 .Under the able administration of the New Management the schools have progressed considerably in all spheres.

The N.S.V.V. Matriculation School was started on June 11th, 1984 under the Presidentship of Shri P.R.K. Augustine and his committee members to cater to the needs of parents, longing for admitting their children in an ENGLISH medium syllabus. It was shifted to the existing building after the construction of the main building on June 30, 1997 under the presidentship of Shri W.P.A.R. Rajagopalan, the youngest brother of Shri W.P.A.R. Chandrasekaran. The standard of the school was raised to new heights during the Secretaryship of Shri W.P.A.R.R.Vijayashaker

On June 3rd, 1996 the N.S.V.V. Boys’ Hostel was started at the western side of the Boys’ School under the leadership of Sri W.P.A.S.B.Pandiyanathan B.A, son of Shri W.P.A.S.Bhaskeran, and the Girls’ Hostel was started in 2008 for the girl students and primary school students under the Presidentship of Sri W.P.A.S.D.Mohan Arunachalam B.Com. Land has been bought to open a College under the presidentship of Sri W.P.A.S.D Mohan Arunachalam and his committee members last year and funds are being mobilized to start buildings and classes in the near future.
